RESEARCH OVERVIEW

We focus on computer vision and machine learning. Our primary interests include:
3D Vision. Recovering 3D from 2D is a fundamental vision problem that remains unsolved. We study single-view and multi-view 3D reconstruction, focusing on per-pixel reconstruction for arbtrary in-the-wild scenes.
Action Recognition. Current systems can recognize "what is there" (objects and their locations), but not much beyond that. We want computers to also understand "what is going on", including interactions, intents, causality, and dynamics.
